Damian Green Starts election campaign












“I stand here before you as a campaigns officer for a man who has been arrested, bailed and is now out of work.” Is what the Campaign officer for the local Conservative party in Ashford said. Damian Green who is starting his third re-election campaign since 1997 met local constituents at Bethersden village hall today.

The local conservative party who have the promise of coming back into power after thirteen years of labour power have been going out on the charge in Kent. Canvassing around Ashford, Hythe, Folkestone, Rye and Hastings have already gone underway as there are only 23 days till the General election.

Damian Green who spoke at the event said: “ We have been waiting thirteen years for something to change. After today’s realise of the Labour parties manifesto, no labour promises will bring us out of an economic recession that we haven’t seen since the end of the Second World War.”
